Some of our collections also feature natural stones and natural freshwater pearls. These materials are authentic and unique in shape, color, and shine. They are durable under normal circumstances but can deform or lose their luster if exposed to harsh chemicals. For this reason, damages caused by contact with lotions, perfumes, sunscreens, skincare products, or other chemicals are not covered by warranty.

Statutory Warranty

In compliance with Dutch consumer law, all Scandivv products are covered by a statutory warranty. This guarantee ensures that your items meet reasonable expectations of quality and performance. If a product is defective or fails to meet these expectations under normal conditions of use, you may be entitled to remedies such as repair, replacement, or a refund.

Please note that this warranty does not apply if the defect or damage results from improper care or misuse of the product. Customers are expected to handle their jewelry responsibly, avoiding exposure to factors that can cause harm.

Commercial Warranty

In addition to the statutory warranty, Scandivv offers a 3-month commercial warranty on all products. This warranty covers:

• Initial Product Defects: Jewelry arrives damaged, bent, or with visible flaws.

• Workmanship Issues: Uneven engraving, misaligned design elements, or rough edges causing discomfort before use.

• Manufacturing Defects: Loose stones, faulty clasps, or poorly soldered links on arrival.

To maintain eligibility for these warranties, products must be cared for correctly. Damage or deterioration caused by improper handling, exposure to water, perfume, lotions, sunscreens, skincare products, harsh chemicals, or other harmful substances will void the warranty. Natural tarnishing or fading of gold-plated items is also not covered.

All Scandivv jewelry is plated with real natural 18k gold. Because gold is a soft and delicate metal, the layer can wear away over time if not treated with care. How well the plating lasts depends on the base material:

• Gold-Plated Stainless Steel: When gold is applied to stainless steel, the bond is stronger, and the plating can resist better against normal daily wear. These pieces are more durable but still require careful treatment.

• Gold-Plated Non-Stainless Steel (e.g., brass or copper): These bases are more sensitive. We strongly advise avoiding any exposure to lotions, skincare products, perfume, sunscreens, or heavy sweating. These pieces should only be worn in dry conditions and treated extra gently.

Care Instructions for All Jewelry:

• Always store your jewelry in a dry box when not in use.

• Avoid wearing jewelry while sleeping, sporting, swimming, washing, or showering.

• Do not expose your jewelry to moisture, perfume, lotion, sunscreen, skincare products, or chemicals.

• Clean your jewelry gently with a dry, soft cloth.

• Natural stones and pearls should be handled with extra care, as they are more sensitive to chemicals.
